International Fellowship of Christians and Jews of Canada

With Coram Deo Foundation’s participation over the past 5 years, IFCJ Canada has assisted needy Jews in making aliyah (immigrating to Israel) through the On Wings of Eagles project. They come from all over the world – the former Soviet Union, South America and other lands of distress – to escape anti-Semitism and extreme poverty. The foundation supports the aliyah flight cost and resettlement assistance for their absorption into Israeli society.

On Wings of Eagles (2020) Aliyah (immigration to Israel) in the time of COVID-19 has been a challenge! Between lockdowns, flare-ups and closed borders during these uncertain and extraordinary times, 735 olim (immigrants) in January and February were flown into Israel. When travel restrictions were enforced across the Globe in March and April, only 127 olim were rescued, primarily from South America where the virus emerged later. To-date, The Fellowship has brought 1,830 olim home to the Holy Land and hopes to bring an additional 1,976 before the end of the year 2020. The demand is there and if it is feasible we will bring more!
