Coastal Church AV Production Room Renovation Project
Coram Deo Foundation has helped Coastal Church reach the city of Vancouver and extend beyond, to countries all around the world. Below are a few examples of how God has used the online ministry at Coastal in 2020:
With the support from the Coram Deo Foundation, Coastal Church recently renovated and expanded the AV Production space at the Downtown location, 1160 West Georgia Street. This expansion was in a pre-planning phase at the start of 2020 and became necessary when physical meeting locations closed because of COVID-19.
Since March of 2020, Coastal Church has focused on live-streaming weekly services so that the church can stay connected. The new production space and equipment have expanded the capability to record, mix and stream live-productions on a weekly basis. It has also allowed the production team to streamline recording and editing, reducing the manpower needed for weekly services.
An important goal was also to prepare Coastal Church for future growth and new technologies. As such, production is now prepared for: • 4K recording, streaming and IMAG (for in-person services) • Adding additional cameras/inputs to the system • Editing 4k video files (better computers for faster render times) • Broadcast sound mixing (separate from house mixes) • Advanced Live streaming to remote campus locations
